RESUME and CV
Over 20 years of experience in arts/music teaching, facilitating and mentoring students across different levels, from early childhood to graduate school in Peru, The Netherlands and Canada. Matias Recharte has designed curriculum for Canada’s National Arts Center, is a consultant of Peru’s Ministry of Education and is the education director for KUNE. As a University instructor, Matias has worked at PUCP University, Wilfrid Laurier University, OISE and the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto.
Workshops
As an artist educator, Matias has worked with arts and education organizations like KUNE, the TDSB, The Mississauga Chamber Music Society (MCMS) and others to teach children about the coastal percussion tradition of Peru and other Afrodiasporic styles.
